Abstract

The most important direction of the state anti-drug policy of the Republic of Turkey is not criminal repression, but prevention of drug addiction and treatment of drug addicts. The article
presents the results of the study of the drug situation in the Republic of Turkey, the national experienceof dealing with drug addicts and other people facing with difficult life situations, as well as the practical
aspects of the interaction of law enforcement agencies and civil society institutions in the field of drug use prevention. The research methodology includes a review of scientific literature and open
source information, an analytical approach to solving the problem of prevention. It is noted that the organizational measures for the establishment of special state bodies responsible for coordinating antidrug activities are successfully combined with the modernization of criminal legislation. Organizational and legal standards of anti-drug fight comply with the requirements of European Union legislation. The
authors come to the conclusion about the effectiveness of comprehensive drug rehabilitation programs, implemented by the active cooperation between non-profit organizations, public and private medical
institutions, social services, which could be adapted in our country. Further study of national anti-drug strategies is necessary to improve the activities of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation
aimed at the prevention of drug-related crime
